Unboxing & First Impressions
The CrossHair I received came in a simple brown box, no logos. Nothing at all on it. While I always understood why tech products in the past have come packaged in fancy boxes with flashy imagery, I’ve always wondered how much of the MSRP goes to pay for said packaging. Well, with the CrossHair devices packaging, there’s no wondering going on here. Thumbs up so far; at least I know the price I’m paying is for the device itself and not some magnetic double-opening flap with trademarked game images.
Inside the simple box comes the device itself, a USB cable, and a foldout manual. The manual itself is quite simplistic, with minimal steps spent on setup and configuration. This worries me, as other similar products I’ve reviewed have had pages upon pages of information for the setup and configuration (pages which were very much required).
Which brings me to the next step: updating, configuring, and plugging it all in.
