The New Kid on the Block: Planet Coaster

Having just launched this past Tuesday into its Alpha, comes the latest entrant into amusement park simulators: Planet Coaster.

What does that mean for you? Well, for starters, you know that you are getting a quality game because the people making Planet Coaster, are the same ones that brought you Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and Zoo Tycoon. So if you loved them, then you’re in for a treat!

The Early Bird Alpha will give you the games first tools, where you will be able to build rides, attractions, and lay dirt to direct your hapless guests into the wonderful (and occasionally deadly) parks that you will build. The game uses a modular building scheme to help make your park creation seem truly unique to you.

As the Alpha progresses, the developer has shared that you’ll gain access to more tools, and more robust crowd reactions, so you can truly gauge the patrons’ love or hate for your park! The game will also feature comprehensive sharing, and community features, so this isn’t something that is going to die overnight!

Planet Coaster is available on FrontierStore.net, and will launch at $74.99USD, but if you hop on it now, you can pre-order (and get that sweet sweet Early Bird Alpha Access) for a pretty good discount of $29.99USD. The game is planned for a Q4 2016 launch. To get you more excited for this game, here is a tutorial for the game to send you on your Rollercoaster Park making rails!
