We have defined roles and explained how to apply teamwork skills, now we give you a real world example of how it can create an amazing team.
The best, and most pertinent example that I can give you from within CS:GO is what many Vloggers, Casters, and fans have taken to calling “NiP Magic”. A term coined by Duncan “Thorin” Shields.
Nip Magic refers to their seemingly uncanny ability to come back from massive deficits, and win matches from seemingly unwinnable situations. Mostly this occurred during their unbeaten streak in 2013/14, but still carries forward to some degree today. How did they do this? Using a combination of all of the skills above. They took it round by round, making sure to make the best of every situation, trusting their teammates and communicating, both in rounds and during freeze time.
I won’t discount that there was some great individual plays made by the players from map to map, but for the most part it was a concerted effort made by the entire team. Playing together and trusting each other led them to so very many wins.
With all of these skills mastered and practiced, you could become a great teammate. Though none if it helps my bad aim and molasses reflexes. I COULD HAVE BEEN A CHAMPION!
