You wanted it, you’re getting it! Tutorial, custom game settings, balance changes and more are coming to Override: Mech City Brawl!
November 5, 2018 – It takes more than a few skills to pilot a mech. Similarly, it takes more than just a development team to make a party brawler! After hosting a closed beta this summer to gain community insight on early development, Modus Games has taken the public’s feedback to heart. Highlighting these much-requested new features, balance changes and quality-of-life improvements, the team has put together a brand-new development update video.
New and returning players alike can expect an even smoother learning process thanks to the addition of a sleek tutorial. Couple this with a series of custom game settings, from match timers and camera inversion, to random weapon and ultimate toggles, and Override offers a gameplay experience that’s more accessible to all skill levels.
Players can also expect changes to how zoning, blocking and dashkicks function, evening the playing field for mechs on the offense and defense. Characters across the board will also be receiving buffs and nerfs to improve accessibility for newcomers, while still offering a high skill ceiling. That means you won’t have to wake up in a cold sweat worrying about Contessa’s all-too-potent dash invincibility, and can rest easy knowing Pescado’s been hitting the gym to amp up his dropkick and high-flying beatdowns.
Still have feedback? Join the Override community to let Modus Games know! As Override’s launch quickly approaches, you can expect the team to keep working hard to ensure this mech-based party brawler comes out of the gates swinging. From new and exciting features, to mech tweaks that’ll even out the competition, Override: Mech City Brawl is set to make a splash when it launches on PS4™, Xbox One, and Steam on December 4.
