Well, chances are you’re reading this and your poor keyboard is drenched in the finest of gravies, or you’re not Canadian and absolutely confused why we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. None the less, we Canadians love pie and days off much like anyone and hell do we love video games!
Here’s this week’s new releases!
First up — man I gotta change that, it sounds so lame and predictable, you can see it coming from a mile away, “First up,” Woo, who cares, Orion, just tell me the damn game. I get that, so let’s change it up by simply suplexing into this, a game that will truly destroy your insides.
Yes, you guessed it, the Jackbox Party Pack 2. In my honest opinon here, the first game is by far one of the funnest party/hangout games you can play. With up to 8 players in online or local co-op play it truly takes the cake. This time the Jackbox Party Pack 2 will feature five new games where you can use your phone or tablet to join in! This game is meant for an audience, so the room supports up to 10,000! Insane!
So if you’re the gamer that likes to entertain a crowd, look no further.
If you thought that Minecraft was simply a relaxing build, destroy, rinse and repeat kinda game, never have you been so wrong. Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series is launching this week and it’s going to turn your life inside out.
You can now experience the Minecraft phenomenon from a whole new perspective. Brought to you by the legendary Telltale Games crew — who, I might add, are known for their amazingly rich story telling. If you haven’t played The Wolf Among Us you need to stop reading and go check that out, it’s by far my favorite game by them. They have also brought us Tales From the Borderlands, and a rendition of Game of Thrones. If I know one thing, they know how to tell one hell of story… so I have high expectations for this upcoming title.
Oh yeah, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes came out for all you VR junkies! To sum it up, keep talking, no one explodes, GG. Of course, there is more to it than that — you’ve got to talk your partner through defusing a bomb. Sounds wild? Yes, it is. Fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action that can only be visualized poetically as “Speed” with French subtitles. WHY would you do this? The same reason why you would play this game: you live on the edge.
Ripping through space comes Rebel Galaxy, a space simulator where you’re in command of a massive space ship engaging in glorious space battles. To sum this one up it’s Space Pirates of the Caribean meets epic battles. In space. For those who know me, I’m a space guy — I am ready for this.
And you thought you’d leave here without me telling you about my boy Geralt eh? Nah, he’s back this week with the official expansion to the award winning The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Come experience a new story in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The -Hearts of Stone expansion. This expansion gives the player over thirty hours of play with tons of new features and abilities. Bringing back some favorite characters and introducing some new ones, and with new features allowing you to enjoy some gwent, level up higher by killing more monsters, and find new love, I am excited to get more out of my game and super excited about the price. How could you go wrong?
