New Release Week of May 25 – 2K15 Edition

Alright Cadillac cruisers, it’s Orion back with this week’s up and coming titles! There’s a lot to get excited about, so prepare your body, your Steam Wallet, and your mind as we let you know what’s Good Good this week!

First up to bat we have AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed. Now at first glance you probably say to yourself, “I bet it’s one of those wild Japanese dating sim games, with some really scantily drawn girls but they’re undead chicks and chances are they are lacking in the clothing department.” Well, that’s where you’re wrong. Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is moreso an action-adventure, RPG anime ‘horror’ game. Basically, you have to dispose of vampires called “Synthisters” from the electronic district in Tokyo in the only sensible way possible, and the only way suited for the genre. Time to get your life together and kill some vampires by fighting their clothing off… that’s right. Fight vampires in broad daylight in glorious hand-to-hand combat while stripping them of their clothes so the sun melts them into a horrible puddle of death. Sounds fun right? … WELL you are!

Next we have Magicka 2, and man, I can’t tell you enough how stoked I am for this one. If you haven’t had a chance to jump into the series, there’s no better time than now to do so! Magicka 2 I can easily go out and say will be one of the best co-op games we’ll see this year. If it’s anything like its predecessor we expect nothing but amazing things.

Magicka 2 is a four player wizard battle game. You team up with the other elements and create powerful spells with devastating effects. If that’s not rad enough, Magicka 2 will offer players tons of robes for obvious customization options, including many different types of staves and other weapons. You can play as the robed wizard of your choice, and control one of the eight elements in the Magicka universe to wreak unrelenting destruction upon the hordes of fantasy creatures that engage you in glorious combat. Magicka 2’s dynamic spellcasting system can be used in many different ways like some deadly combo where you mix fire and water to create steam; I can only hypothesize we can make lava with earth and a fire tornado with wind. This game offers hours of solo and co-op play. We look forward to this one!

Do you like to go fast? No, seriously, DO YOU LIKE breakneck speeds that will only increase your testosterone by +9? Have you survived the hellscape of TrackMania? Well perhaps it’s time for a new challenge: Nascar ’15 is out. Get ready for exciting races with up to 16 players in multiplayer matches, roster updates, cars, rules, and new paint jobs. Heck, if you like to go fast and you love the adrenaline of competitive sports, this game is going to be for you. Tell me one person you know that doesn’t like to go fast? I will 1 V 1 them solo mid lane in Dota 2 right now.

Nascar ’15 brings to the table what previous editions could not: what the fans want. Nascar has taken crucial steps in hearing out its fan base, and they delivered with a vast variety of new features. For any, and I mean any racing fan this is a must play for your library! An added bonus is there’s a free demo available for you to check this out, and lose your marbles over the glory of being #1!

Finally, the game trailer that gave me chills and the desire to play it immediately, it’s none other than Sunset. To intentionally drive you nuts so you go out and discover this game for yourself, I am writing nothing about the game. Once you watch the trailer, you will be pulled in just as much as I was. I remember hearing about this game but it was lost to me; coincidentally it found me once again as I write this, watching the sunset. SO CLICHE, I know right?

Anywho, go check this game out. Not only does it look beautiful, but the story and music speak volumes already… and with that I leave you.

Well friends, readers, and fellow cat enthusiasts, I leave you to your week of gaming. May it be a new one listed, or an old friend awaiting in a far off land. Whatever it is, may your keyboard be the torch in the darkest dungeon, your controller a toll of strength, and your sense of wonderment a guide into a new adventure.

Until next time, I’ll see you online.
