Madmind Studio is looking to reinvent what horror games mean. There new game Agony is a first-person survival horror game set in Hell. Now a game set in Hell is not a new concept, but they have taken things to the next level in their story telling and level design. The entire world of Agony feels haunting and quite disturbing. Players will begin their journey as a tormented soul within the depths of the abyss without any recollections of their past. You will have to wander the dark and horrific pathways of Hell to figure out why you are there and if escape is even possible. Agony won’t just be running away from demonic beasts; the game offers you the special ability to control people on your path, and even possess simple-minded demons you find along the way. By exploring the hostile environment and interacting with lost souls along the way, you will soon understand that there is only one exit from Hell, but it will not be an easy task. Players will have to meet the mystical Red Goddess. No one knows who she is or the powers she has, so we’ll just have to wait to play this one to find out.
For anyone that wants to take their horror experience to the next level, Agony is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in Q2 of 2017.
