Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is hoping to grow some fans by allowing people to play for up to 10 hours free until May 10th.
EA is looking to cultivate a new audience. They want it to take root. And for 10 free hours, they’re really letting us get our chloro-fill. (Okay, I’ll stop.)
I’m a real sucker (I lied!) for cuteness and hilarity, and I absolutely love the original PvZ — but for some reason, I’ve never tried the Garden Warfare franchise. Ain’t no excuse now!
Those of us who get in on the free play will have the choice of buying the full game when the trial period expires, and you’ll get to keep all progress you’ve made, including unlocked content and achievements.
Garden Warfare 2 looks like a zom-barrel of fun. You get to play as both Plants and Zombies, and for the first time in franchise history, the Zombies have control of Suburbia and Plants are on the attack. There are more than 100 playable characters, eight game modes, and 13 new maps — all this available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
EA says if you’re looking to get the most out of your free play, there are tips and tricks at the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 website.
A persistent Internet connection, an EA Account, and acceptance of the End User License Agreement are required to play.
Now get out there and make Crazy Dave proud!
