A day after the leak, we have more exciting news: Jensen is officially back and in action in the new upcoming game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
In a press release, Square reveals that “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution and the infamous ‘Aug Incident’ in Panchaea. It also continues the story of Adam Jensen, former Sarif Industries security chief turned Super-Augmented, Anti-terrorist agent. Jensen has been empowered with all new augmentations, enabling him and the player a greater sense of self-control as they explore all new locations in-game. As social and political tensions reach a major turning point, Jensen and conspiracies surrounding the Illuminati continue toward an inevitable crossroads … and possibly, an epic showdown.”
From what we can gauge from the trailer, the world has gone haywire since the events that ended the last game, and it’s up to Jensen to clean it up – again.
What we can speculate based off what we saw:
- New Terrorist/Equality Threat
- BellTower (those soldiers look awfully familiar)
- More deadly augments – you need to watch the trailer to see!
The release date for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be announced at a later date. The game “we’ve all been asking for” will be released on next gen consoles and PC.
