Damsel, the vampire slaying arcade game from Screwtape Studios, has officially launched today via Steam®. Until 24th of October there is a special introductory discount of 25% off the regular price. Afterwards Damsel will be available for the regular price of $19.99 USD / €16.79 / £15.49, respectively.
Cause distress in Damsel, a challenging, fast-paced, arcade platformer. Experience a dark cartoon world come to life as frenetic action gameplay meets comic book visuals and storytelling. Dash through beautiful arenas vanquishing vampires, rescuing hostages, disarming bombs, hacking servers and much more.
The game consists of the first two episodes of Damsel’s adventure, including 50 action packed missions and a comic book story that sees Special Agent Damsel investigate the Red Mist Beverage Corporation. The word on the street is that Red Mist is creating a “secret menu” drink containing real human blood. Spoiler: They are!
For players wishing to prove themselves the best they can dive into Damsel Dash – reminiscent of classic arcades – this allows players to take on a weekly set of challenges with special conditions. The single player with the highest score will become the ‘Slayer of the Week’ and can earn themselves exclusive free Damsel merchandise such as shirts and hats.

The official Damsel original soundtrack is also available today via the Steam® store. Consisting of 20 songs that have been remastered and enhanced, so players can continue grooving to the gothic synth soundtrack.

A Unite Melbourne and PAX Rising official selection finalist, Damsel is available to play on PC and Linux, with Mac support coming shortly afterwards. Damsel is expected to be available on console in the upcoming months.
Damsel supports English at release with additional language options of German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese coming shortly afterwards.
Earlier in 2018 Damsel was a recipient of the inaugural Game Production and Marketing Investment grant by Screen Queensland, via a competitive application and review process.
