May 1, 2018 – Tripwire Interactive, developers of the award-winning Red Orchestra and Killing Floor franchises, announced today that Killing Floor: Incursion is out now for PlayStation®VR. Available worldwide for the first time on PlayStation VR for $29.99 USD/ €29.99 Euro via the PlayStation Store, Killing Floor: Incursion takes the action horror genre to the next level with a fully-realized, made-for-VR, story-driven adventure.
In Killing Floor: Incursion players take on the role of an elite Horzine Security Forces soldier. Play alone or with a friend in co-op mode, explore diverse environments from creepy farmhouses to high-tech facilities – and fight to survive against horrific Zed hordes with a variety of weapons, including pistols, shotguns, axes, and even the occasional leftover limb. Players may freely explore environments, scavenging for weapons and ammo while searching for the best locations to hold the line against the monster onslaught. Complete Horzine Security Forces missions and unlock the secrets of the Zeds’ mysterious origins.
PlayStation®VR owners will have a first look at “The Crucible,” a timed exclusive Holdout Mode map that finds players defending locations against increasingly deadly waves of enemies in a frenetic, arcade-like action experience. In addition, players can expect the PlayStation®VR version to include all post-launch content updates released for HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift platforms, including the Hardcore difficulty mode, Katana weapon, leaderboards, and more.
Today’s Killing Floor: Incursion launch date announcement for PlayStation®VR also follows a significant milestone for the original Killing Floor game that started it all. Since it first released on PC in 2009, the original Killing Floor recently surpassed five million units sold on Steam. Killing Floor 2 also continues to perform well as a top played multiplayer game on all major platforms following the recent release of the free Killing Floor 2: Infinite Onslaught Content Update.
