So, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, is going to have eye tracking. It’s not going to be a full VR device, that has not been announced at all. Tobii, a massive player in Eye Tracking tech, has partnered with Eidos Montreal to provide the innovative service on one of the most anticipated games of this decade.
In order to take advantage of it, you will need to have a few specific pieces of hardware, namely the EyeX and the Steelseries Sentry, both of these are going to set you back roughly 250 bucks Canadian (depending on exchange rate). 119€ is the asking price if you live within the European Union.
According to Tobii, this isn’t just a gimmick, but is intended to immerse you into the game with incredible features. These features including aiming at enemies with your eyes, looking around just by changing where you’re looking and even having a cleaner UI until you look at a specific section of the screen.
Sounds pretty neat, we’ll have to see it to believe it though.
A bundle including the tracker and the game will be released on August 29th, you can pre-order the bundle here!
