Night Dive Studios is at it again, but this time it’s a much bigger deal. The developer, who recently released an HD remastered and enhanced version of the first System Shock, recently confirmed that they will be completely remaking and porting it, and they will be revealing more information soon! Twitter user Chris Steadman asked the question “Is it true you are Re-making & porting System shock and not just re-releasing it?” and well, see their reply for yourself:
It is! We'll be revealing something soon! https://t.co/UbuA1Q5Ckb

Long-time fans will be happy to know that Night Dive also confirmed via Twitter that many veteran developers from Looking Glass Studios (who created the original legendary game) will be joining Night Dive’s team to deliver the authentic System Shock experience. Confirmed names include Terri Brosius (the voice of Shodan), Eric Brosius (sound designer and composer), and Robb Waters (senior character / concept artist). These names will also look familiar to fans of the Thief and Bioshock series
Night Dive is quickly earning a name for themselves by remastering cult classic games long neglected by time, but never forgotten by the fans. Other games that they have resurfaced from the depths include System Shock 2, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, and many more. Near and dear to my own heart, they are also currently working on a remastered digital re-release of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil.
